Rolling Ticket Limits Is this Allowed?

I’m not sure of the best way to handle this situation. I have an event that has 4 datetimes. For each datetime, the ticket limit is 100. But, we still allow phone sales, so I have to monitor online ticket sales and I have been changing the ticket limits based on the number of phone sales that come in. However, I got to a point where we had sold 53 tickets online for the 10:30 am datetime and I was told that 30 tickets had been sold by phone. Can I now set a ticket limit of 17? Meaning, can the ticket limit field be lower than the tickets sold field? Will this cause a problem? Or, should I just delete the ticket limit and change the quantity field?

Hello,

If the a ticket option has a limit of say 25 and 20 are sold, then there would be 5 remaining. If you reduce the limit to less than the amount that has been sold, then that particular ticket option would no longer be available for registration.

Could you share a screenshot of your ticket options in the event editor so we can share more feedback?
