Hello,
EE4 we have and we need to manage event with co-authors. We used the plugin WPFront User Role Editor and I can create an event and manage only this. But we need to Associated co-author, or collaborator, to manage subscription only for this event. Is it possible? I saw there was Roles and Permissions Pro Add-on for EE3, there is something like that for EE4?
Thank,
Paolo

Hi Paolo,

It turns out no add-on is needed to do what you want to accomplish here. You can use a plugin like Members or User Role editor and grant limited capabilities to the user account. The capabilities for Event Espresso are all prefixed with ee_.

Thank you Josh,
with Members I can set capabilities to the user accout (ex. I can create an Event and modify only my event). But I need to select an user than didn’t have create the event, and give him the same permission to manage the registrations. I think it is no possible with Members. Do you have any solutions?
Thanks,
Paolo

That should be possible. You give that user account these capabilities:

ee_edit_checkin
ee_edit_checkins
ee_edit_others_checkins
ee_read_checkin
ee_read_checkins
ee_read_others_checkins
ee_read_registration
ee_read_registrations
ee_read_others_registrations
ee_read_transaction
ee_read_transactions

But in this way He can manage all the registrations events, instead He could be manage only one I assigned.

You could give them an Author role, then select them as the event Author, then you give them the following capabilities:

ee_edit_checkin
ee_edit_checkins
ee_edit_others_checkins
ee_read_checkin
ee_read_checkins
ee_read_others_checkins
ee_read_registration
ee_read_registrations

But in my case the author can modify only yours events. If I change the properties for the event the original author can not modify it anymore.

You’ll need to make sure that the original author has the ee_edit_others_events capability.
