Whilst it seems good for booking by individuals, my requirement is in effect to have a membership area, where a parent will make bookings for their one-or-more children.
So in effect, parent logs in, selects the event (or event series) that they want their child to attend, and then selects their child from their ‘family group’ data.
Then makes payment on behalf of the child.
Later, the parent should be able to login in again an retrieve old invoices / transaction data etc as required relating to their family group.
I saw some one else had a similar use case, which you responded that it would not be supported without custom coding, so I think that would be the case. But I just want to make sure that this product can’t do that.
You are right in saying that EE4 cannot currently meet your needs, even EE3 would struggle with it (it has the WP User Integration that can achieve part of what you need, but not the core issue).
The main issue is that we just don’t (as yet) have a facility for managed accounts (families/businesses on a repeat basis).
If we drop the managed accounts concept. Can EE4 or EE3 cope with providing historical data to logged in users in anyway on an individual account basis?
Yes, EE3 plus the WP User Integration add on can do that. So long as the user is logged in when registering, the info is logged against their user account. They can then visit a page in their profile or the front end (via a shortcode) to vie the events they registered for.
