Hello,

Is there any way to restore lost registrations after restoring our webpage? We ran into a domain issue with our site and had to revert to a previous version of the site (August 26th), losing all of our registrations for our event past that point. Are those registrations lost or is there a way to recover them? Our site is mspta.org.

Thank you.

Hi,

If a database backup was made just before reverting to the previous version of the site, then yes, the registrations could be recovered one by one from the database backup. It seems a bit drastic to revert the entire site’s database back a few weeks to fix a domain issue though. Are you sure that was necessary?

In any case, I can advise to set up daily (or even more frequent) automated backups of the site’s database. This way if you run into issues like this again, the amount of lost data can be mitigated. One excellent service I can recommend is VaultPress.
