I find that I often have use for restoring just EE4 data and not my entire database.
Sometimes errors occur with other plugins or themes and require a restore for design issues but the EE4 data has been updated by a customer or what not since last back-up.
So restoring the whole database would negate user input in EE4.
I thought a good solution would be to restore the whole database to the most recent back up, then replace the EE4 tables more current event data.
Data for Event Espresso 4 is stored in native WP tables along with its own dbprefix_esp_ tables.
Merging data from prior backups may cause some issues on the site.
