Hello, I need help with reseting my site license key. When I purchased the key my site was being developed and the URL for the site was: http://www.starwisdomteaching.com/WordPress As of our live date, our directories have changed to: http://www.starwisdomteaching.com There are updates available and I don’t have access to them because of this issue. Can you please help. Thank You.

Hello, I followed the above instruction, however, I’m still getting this error: There is an automatic update for Event Espresso available but your Site License Key is invalid. Either you have entered the wrong key on the Event Espresso General Settings page OR you no longer have access to the updates for this plugin. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys or purchase a support license now. Please advise :o) |
Let’s try this. I deleted the old key and created a new one. Please go through the same process as above and let me know if that fixes it. If it doesn’t, you may need to install the latest version. |

Thank you very much Seth, That did it! I’m also having problems integrating PayPal into Event Espresso. Thanks again π |

And one more issue Seth, Now I’m getting a Plugin Update notification (meaning there is an update that needs attention) but when I go to see which one, I’m informed all plugins are updated. Very annoying π How do I resolve this. It did happen once before at initial installation of Event Espresso a while back, but I forget who it was resolved. |
Cheryl, You will need at least a PayPal business account. Once that is set up, you can enter the the email address that is associated with your PayPal account in the Event Espresso > Payment Settings > PayPal Settings page. |
|
If you have tow versions of Event Espresso in your plugins directory, you will need to delete the older one. Please let me know if that is not the case. |

September 27, 2012 at 11:50 pm Hi Seth, How do I check to see whether I have two version of Event Espresso in my plugin directory or not? |
Hi Cheryl, You will either need to do that from your Control Panel in your hosting account, or through FTP. You will look in wp-content/plugins. |

|
Hi Jonathan, As far as I can ascertain I don’t have any duplication issues but I would appreciate you checking it. what information would you need to do that? |
Hello Cheryl, I will be happy to look at that for you. If you will, fill out the form on this page: https://eventespresso.com/contact/. |

Thank you Jonathan, I just completed the form you requested. I hope you’ll be able to put this issue to rest for me. |
Cheryl, I have responded to your email. Please advise. π |

Hi Cheryl, I looked in your plugin directory and there is only one instance of Event Espresso. |

Hello Jonathan, The reset issue is back again and I’m at the end of my wits with the Event Espresso plugin. This is the second time this issue is happening and your support team doesn’t have anything else to say other than you’re not sure when or if this will ever get fixed. I’m having serious thoughts about renewing my license when it comes up for renewal and letting my community know about my experience with your plugin. The following notice appears twice in my dashboard: “You have the correct Site License Key for Event Espresso but your current membership access only allows for automatic upgrades on one domain. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys or purchase a support license now.” And the dashboard is now indicating 2 updates whereas there are none. This has been a big mess and I’m now very tired of it. Thank you. |
Hi Cheryl, I’m sorry for all the trouble that the license key issue is causing you. Please see this post from the developer of the Plugin Updater for more information on what we’re doing to resolve these issues: https://eventespresso.com/topic/update-on-license-key-issues/ In the meantime, I’ve created a new key for you. So you can head over to your account page and get the new key and enter it into the field on Event Espresso>General settings. Again, the team and I are sorry for the trouble this has caused you, and we are working on resolving this. |

Hi Josh, The reset key still does not work. I really don’t know what to say. Soooo disappointed! |
Cheryl, Sorry. We are trying our best to get the license key issues ironed out. Please keep in mind that you can download latest updates from your account, then upload and install them manually. If you are uncomfortable doing that, we are more than happy to perform the updates for you, free of charge, until we can get this bug worked out. As you may or may not know, we had to write the license key and auto update system completely from scratch. So we are actively trying to make sure it works for everyone. As with any new software, sometimes there are unknown factors (such as the server types, conflicting plugins and themes, etc) that keep some things from working as expected. Please bear with us as we work on figuring out these issues. |

Hello Seth, What information do you need from me in order to update my version for me while the fix is being worked on? |
Hello Cheryl, Please send WordPress admin level log in credentials and FTP login information via the contact form on this page: https://eventespresso.com/contact/ Please select the “I am sending login info as requested” department form. |

Hey Cheryl, We updated espresso-permissions to 1.5.3, which cleared the update notification, and should keep the problem from recurring. Thanks. |
