Hi

I have a snowglobe event I am setting up for Christmas
I notice that it shows 5 reserved tickets when i am editing the event

I cannot find anywhere where these 5 reserved tickets are to cancel them

When I go to registrations and try to search on reserved, there is no such category.

Bit confused how to get rid of these reservations.

Thanks
Jon

Hi Jon,

Tickets that are selected in the ticket selector are ‘reserved’ for the duration of the user session (by default its 1 hour), this is done to prevent overselling on the event.

Do you know when were these reservations made? Have you been testing selecting tickets on the event recently?

Hi Tony

These were made weeks ago. I have been duplicating the original event and noticed that these 5 tickets are reserved on every event. Doesnt seem to drop them after an house.

Any idea how I can clear them?

Thanks

Hmm, are you using the latest version of EE4?

There is an option to recheck the reserved count within:

Event Espresso -> Maintenace -> Reset/Delete Data -> Reset Ticket and Datetime Reserved Counts – http://take.ms/BL173

(Double check which option you are about to click as the others will remove your event data)

After clicking that button does the reserved count correct itself?

Just a quick check before pressing this. Does this only release reserved tickets and not any already purchased for future events?

The button only affects the reserved counts, it checks for current sessions and adjusts the reserved count to match.

It does not change future events but may adjust past events reserved counts (not sales, just the reserved tickets)

I’d recommend creating a database backup if you are concerned, that way you can always revert if you notice an issue after clicking the above.

Can you check again Jon? The one to check for reserved datetime ticket counts will be the original event that you made the first copy from. It appears that there’s a problem with duplicating an event if there are already datetime reserved counts. This will be fixed in a later release of Event Espresso 4. In the meantime you can find the original event and copy from that one. A copy of a copy that already has datetime ticket counts will continue to pass that count on to the next copy.

Hi Josh

Unfortunately this hasnt worked – I have gone to the original and it is still showing five reserved

I have approximately 60 events cloned off this first one and only just seen the issue. Is there any other way to get rid of the reserved as I dont really want to delete all 60 and re-input as it took a fair while to do this

Thanks

Hi Jonathan,

Another approach that you can take is you go in and edit the event, click the Add Datetime button and add a new datetime. Then you click close, then you click the trash icon next to the datetime that has the reserved tickets.
