A customer selects course(s) and completes the process. I receive the notification, as does the customer.
The courses are paid courses (i.e not free courses) however I want to settle payment outside and independently of EE
So the places purchased should be treated as reserved by EE. That’s to say the number of sellable tickets following this reservation should be reduced accordingly.
You can set the ‘Default Registration Status’ on the event (or all events) to ‘Approved’.
Doing so tells Event Espresso, ‘regardless of payment status, set the registration to Approved when finalized’. ‘Approved’ registrations are your ‘sold’ registrations.
The user will still need to select an ‘offline’ payment method (such as Invoice) which you can change the wording of to suit better but when they do, their selected ticket(s) will be considered sold.
By default EE will apply your tickets to all datetimes within the event, meaning a ticket registration will apply to the ‘sold’ values on all datetimes.
