I am looking to require a ticket if the user selects a particular option while filling out the forms. For instance, if they answer yes to a question, indicating they want a particular upgrade that requires a particular ticket, or particular number of tickets, I want to validate that and throw an error if they do not meet the criteria.
I am a developer, so hints on where to intercept and how to throw an error would be all I need.
Basically, I am looking for the actions to hook for when the “Register Now” button is pressed, and “Proceed to Payment Options.” I am looking how to capture the Registration questions and the Tickets, and how to get the Source Event for the Tickets (when proceeding to payment options, it is possible [with plugins], that the Tickets will be for different Events). And, finally, how to display an error and indicate the user must make a modification to continue.
I can recommend opening up an issue on the Github repository and one of the developers can follow up with you regarding possible action hooks for adding custom validation rules.
