Reports and Refund Questions

First off, I really like EE4 but have had three complaints, and want to know if you are planning on evolving (resolving) them in a future release? I know there are existing work-around for them, but they are not simple nor user friendly. These issues were brought up by our client that I installed EE4 on their website.

1. A simple sales report: total number of each ticket type sold AND the total sales for an event. You have bar graphs why not a simple text report? Our client is a CFO and has no time to export, sort, and sum — he just wants the facts.

2. A way to “easily” refund a ticket from the admin screen. Why do you have to go to the merchant site to process the refund? You send info to the merchant for the sale, why is there not a way to send a refund message to the merchant? I would think this is a fairly common request.

3. Simple guest list report. A PDF document that shows the customer name, email, registration date, and ticket type. Again, the admin should have a simple one-button click to produce this report.

Thanks for taking the time to leave this valuable feedback. I’ve registered your suggestion on the refund idea and we will keep it in mind for future features and updates! This is on our radar, and there are a few reasons that this wasn’t added to any of the available gateways within Event Espresso 4 yet. Some gateways will support initiating refunds from within EE via their API, other gateways need the refund to be initiated from within the merchant accounts admin interface and then sending an IPN to use, and some gateway won’t support either. So if and when this does get added it will only be added for gateways that support it.

With regards to better reporting of sales figures and a guest list report, were tracking interest in an add-on that will add these. If you have a moment you can vote on and tell us more about what you’d like to see feature-wise here:
