I have yet another problem with Espresso.
I am trying to run reports for each day so that we have an attendance register. To do this – I go into events, view all to get the list of events and then click on registrations under the workshop I want.
At the bottom of the screen is a button – event registrations csv report.

Using the example of the 31st August, if I click on this button, it brings up the report for 30th August and not the 31st? There seem to be some wires crossed somewhere. Could you have a look please?

Hi there,

May I ask how and where you’re selecting August 31st? Is that a case where it’s an event that occurs on August 31st?

Hi Josh

We are going into the events. Then selecting e.g. 1254 Wed August 31st – Beach Party Cooking Thames. Then Registrations. Then click Event Registrations CSV Report. This generates a CSV. The title of the CSV is ‘registrations-for-tues-august-30th-summery-snacks-smoothies-sweet-treats-thames-ditton.csv’ – not 31st. If you go to edit, you can see that the permalink is ‘http://sassystirrers.com/events/tues-august-30th…ts-thames-ditton/
I think the permalink is wrong because the event was duplicated. If so, this makes the duplication of events troublesome. Be interested in your thoughts, and suggestions as to a workaround, maybe? Thanks.

Hello,

If I understand you correctly, the event was duplicated and then updated.

If that is the case, then this is what happens:

1) The event title has a Duplicate added towards the end like this: https://cl.ly/1S1x3M3W3L2E

2a) The event slug has a number added to the end (rather than changing the entire slug): example.com/events/this-is-a-test-2/ (https://cl.ly/3v0A2r0r200u)

2b) If there was already a this-is-a-test-2, then the next duplicate would become this-is-a-test-3 and so forth

Following the steps above, I added some registrations to the now duplicated event and this was the filename for the file:

registrations-for-this-is-a-test-2.csv

OK, but I still don’t understand how to get around the problem. We need appropriately named reports.

After you duplicate the event, and change its title, you can also edit the event’s slug. There’s an edit button next to the event’s Permalink in the event editor screen. This way, you’ll have appropriately named reports.
