We are an events company based in the UK and looking for a new method to sell our tickets online.
We currently use ‘http://www.fatsoma.com/’; to process transactions, but have found that they are too expensive.
Looking over your website, Event Espresso looks like a great platform that could work for us, I just have a couple of questions;
Firstly, to promote our events, we use staff hired as promo reps to hand out flyers with information about the event. Each flyer has a unique ‘rep ID’ which the customer enters when buying a ticket. When using ‘Fatsoma’, this ID gives the customer discount on their ticket (like a coupon code) but it is also linked with the rep’s personal account which, when accessed, shows a summary of how many tickets the rep has sold for the event. At the end of the event, the rep is payed commission depending on the number of tickets they sold for the event.
Is there a way in Event Espresso, that our company can use the same type of system that Fatsoma offer to us already?
We are also wondering if there is an extra hidden surcharge that you add on per ticket sale?
We don’t have any form of commission/affiliate scheme in place right now. It was something that was earmarked for EE4 but has been pushed back while we work on other aspects and re-evaluate that feature.
Surcharges are always shown to the end user.
If you have any other questions feel free to get in touch. Also, if you haven’t tried it already please check out our EE4 demo site over at http://demoee.org
