I tried the suggestion in this thread to remove the ‘View Full Order Confirmation Receipt’ blue button – but it is still there when I put another booking through with Bank Transfer as a payment method.

Any other way to hide that button?

Can you link me to an event I can test this on, please?
If you’ve disabled the Receipt message type (as recommended in my other reply) the button should not be shown regardless of the payment method you selected.

The reason that is happening is due to you loading a custom template for the receipt within:
/wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/modules/gateways/Invoice/lib/templates/receipt_body.template.php
Which basically tells EE to switch to the ‘old’ system for generating Invoices/Receipts.
Either remove that file from the above location or delete the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/modules/gateways/ directory entirely (you may want to back up the files first).
That custom file is from a rather old version of EE which didn’t allow you to edit the templates within the admin, now you can within Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message templates -> Receipt (although you can’t as you have them disabled)
