Hi

Is there a way to not display “Single Event” as a category in the meta section of an event?

Both on the archive page and the single-post page, the tag “Single Event” is displayed together with my other category tag. How can this be removed?

Hope to hear from someone with the magical words ๐Ÿ™‚

Best,
C

Hi there,

This sounds like something that is being added by your theme, can you link me to a page I can view this on?

Hmmm… That might be true.

Hello,

Try this CSS for changing the styling:

.espresso_events span.blog-categories.minor-meta { display: none !important }

If your theme has a Custom CSS area built-in, then you can add it there through your WP dashboard. Otherwise, if you are using a current version of WordPress then you could use the Customizer tool in Appearance –> Customize –> Additional CSS.

You can then go back to your site and refresh the page to see the new changes.

Yeah that’s from the theme.

Can you send me a copy of the theme so I can take a look? If so you can use support[at]eventespresso.com

You might need to host the file on something like dropbox and send a link we can use to download.

The CSS trick does remove the single event tag, but also removes the category, which I actually want to have displayed …

I am using the Enfold theme. I will email you the file.

I just checked this and we haven’t received any emails from yourself.

If you included the file within the email it may have been rejected (depending on the filesize) so you may need to host the file somewhere we can use to download it from, for example dropbox or even using the media uploader of your size and then provide the link for it from there.

Thank you, I’ve removed both your email and the download link from public view.

So Enfold provides a filter that allows you to set the taxonomies to be excluded from that output, with that you can set the espresso_event_typetaxonomy to be excluded using something like this:

https://gist.github.com/Pebblo/ad340d6340c94ea963797342ef34dbac

You can add that function to a Custom Functions Plugin on your site.
