When I deactivate the Event Express plugin – it breaks my site. How can I safely remove the plugin without this issue

Hi there,

When you deactivate a plugin, the code within that plugin no longer runs at all so it’s likely not Event Espresso causing the error, but another plugin/custom code that relies on Event Espresso.

If you check your server error logs there should be an full error logged which will show you the file throwing the error.

Post that here please.

Forgive my ignorance, but where do I find the server logs? My host is GoDaddy? Thank you.

I don’t use GoDaddy so can’t say for certain, most hosts will have a section you can view them from on your hosts control panel (not the WP admin, the client portal/control panel for your host).

I did a quick search and found:

Thank you. I found the plugin that was messing everything up and removed it first and then removed event expresso. Thanks again for your help.
