Hello. I’ve never seen the “Please check back again later, as spots may become available.” text before, but I recently noticed it on several of my events, though not all.
Is this the wait list feature? If so, how and where can I turn it off?

Hi there,
No, that’s not the waitlist feature, it is the message shown when your event is sold out and the ‘Maximum number of tickets allowed per order for this event’ is set to 1.
We don’t have an option to remove/disable it, but you can do it via a filter:
add_filter( 'FHEE__EE_Ticket_Selector__display_ticket_selector_submit__sold_out_msg', '__return_empty_string' );
You can add that to a custom functions plugin and we have some documentation on creating one here:
