Hello-
I need my participants to get event reminders one hour before the event. I installed the Automated Upcoming Event Notification plugin but the earliest interval is 1 day before the event. Do you have a solution for this? TY

Hi there,
Currently, we don’t have a solution that would allow you to schedule emails within 1 hour of the event, it would be possible to set up but would need some custom development from a developer, likely basically recreating the add-on with a custom shecdule time.
The EE message system also relies on WP_CRON which is not exact (it can be set up on the server using a ‘real’ cron to make it better, but still not perfect).
We also need to take into consideration issues with mail servers, EE is a distributed product and we have no control over the server hosting the sites it is used on, the mail server in use etc. If we state that we have a solution to send on the hour before the event but the mail server is delayed and actually takes 30mins to process the emails sent from the site we are left pointing the finger at the mail server who likely point it back at us and the user is left stuck in the middle (we see this already with caching issues on some server setups).

I understand, thank you. Any out of the box solutions come to mind? Doesn’t seem like you ahve any connections in zapier. Any 3rd party setup you’d recommend?

You could trigger messages manually using the Batch email system, or use an email service program and schedule campaigns in advance.
