Hi,

I am trying to manually add a payment to my registrant and I understand the majority of this process but I am confused about this one question:

Registrations to Apply Payment To:

If I click all registrations, what does that mean?

Also if a person is handing me cash and has $60 but the class only costs $50 and the person says “put it on my next month.” Then I input $60 in the price here and it comes up that the person has “overpaid.” If they go to register for another class now will the $10 go to “all registrations” if that was clicked?

Hi Cindra,

Event Espresso does not have a credit system that tracks ongoing balances so there would not be a way to roll over the remaining balance towards a new event.

So then what does that “Registrations to Apply Payment To:” do?

It’s for making partial payments toward a transaction. For example, there are 5 registrations at $20 each in a transaction. The transaction total due is $100, and they pay $60. You can set 3 of the registrations as paid, leaving the other 2 registrations as still owing.
