Registrations Not Processing

Hello,
Currently, we are facing and issue on https://danielledowneyclassic.com where the Paypal Transactions are NOT syncing as complete after a user has paid forcing us to manually change the transaction to paid.

Here is what we Know:
Wordpress Version: 4.5.2
Avada Version 4.0.3
No Caching Enabled
Paypal Return URL Activated

Tried to set up Stripe as an alternative and received the message:
“Payment method of type Stripe was not saved because there were validation errors. They have been marked in the form”

However, nothing is highlighted in the form.

Does this happen with every PayPal transaction or just some?

Are IPN’s enabled on your PayPal Account?

Make sure IPNs are enabled on your account and they have the correct character encoding set, you can find details here:

Tried to set up Stripe as an alternative and received the message:
“Payment method of type Stripe was not saved because there were validation errors. They have been marked in the form”

This is often due to the ‘Button URL’ setting. Some server setups cause problems with the image validation EE uses when saving the settings.

What URL is shown for the button URL i the Stripe payment method settings?

Hi Ryan,

We have a set up guide for PayPal:

If everything in the set up guide is done, then another thing you can look into is if there’s a plugin conflict. For example, the WP SpamShield plugin blocks the Instant Payment Notification from PayPal.

For the Stripe form, can you try using this URL for the button URL field?

Hey Guys,

Thank you for the pointers. I have been able to get Paypal Functioning again,after going through and resetting all of the settings within Paypal and the IPN.

I tried using the provided URL for stripe and still no luck.

However with the resolution of Paypal, I am facing a larger issue, as registration and ticket emails are NOT sending.

Here are the Steps I have tried for the email issue so far:
Installed Email Log (It is not showing any emails as sending)
Used Sparkpost (works for all emails except event espresso)
Setup Postmark and same result other emails on the website work, still no luck with event espresso.

Would love to have someone go in and take a look if possible – maybe I am missing something simple.

Hi Ryan,

So when you make a payment with PayPal the transaction is being marked as complete and the registration is updating to Approved, but no emails are being triggered?

If you go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message Templates.

Can you see a ‘Registration Approved’ message template there?

If so does it have the ‘Event Admin’ and ‘Registrant’ contexts highlighted in blue? – http://take.ms/0YQVk

It looks like it is NOT there (no idea where it would have gone). Is there an easy way to get it to come back?

Hi Ryan,

You go to Event Espresso > Messages > Settings and make sure the email messages switch is turned on (green) and that the Registration Approved message type is active. If it’s in the the Inactive Message Types box, you drag it over to the Active messages box.
