Hi, we are heavily considering your Everything License but need an answer on a few things.

I have been familiarising myself with the demoee.org environment. We have a client who wants to collect registrations online and process the payments on the phone at a later time (time consuming, I know!) What they need is to enter a transaction receipt number from Eftpos or the like. I see there is TXN ID / CHQ #. I need to put this into the Receipt Template. I can’t see a shortcode which uses this field. I see a [TXN_ID] but this pulls through the Event Espress transaction id instead of the field that can be added when ‘processing’ a payment.

Secondly, the client often has parents who registers their children for an art class. How can Event Espresso handle this? This is quite critical.

Cheers,
Rachel

Hi Rachel,

The TXN ID / CHQ # field is displayed with the
[PAYMENT_GATEWAY_TXN_ID]
shortcode in the receipt template. This is actually a shortcode that’s in the default template, so after you apply a payment to a transaction, you’ll see the number under the Payments section of the receipt.

For classes where you have a parent that registers their children, I’m not sure what you’re asking as far as how Event Espresso can handle this. I can tell you that you can add a Parent Name field and display the parent name in the receipt. For example if the parent name field label is
Parent's full name
you can put this shortcode in the message template to display the parent’s name:

[ANSWER_*Parent's full name]

If you have specific questions about how to set up the registration form so it accommodate parents signing up for their children, please follow up and I’ll be glad to help.
