Registration timing out

We have registration/payment for individuals and teams to register for events which has worked well for a few years, but we’re now finding sometime they are getting a ‘timed out’ message (An error has occurred … this can sometimes happen if have too much time has been taken to complete the registration process”.
I’ve checked the settings and ‘Session Lifespan’ is set to the default 1 hour, but I’m told this occurs after just a few minutes.
Any ideas?

Hi there,

If the “Session Lifespan” is set to 1 hour then the time must be one hour for registration.

However, you can activate the new “Session Countdown Timer” feature to see the time remaining itself:

If still facing issues Please check the error log to see if there is any error noted there, you can follow the instructions below to activate the debug log:

I did check your site and i can’t replicate the issue. Were you able to replicate it? what did you observe? is there specific event where you had this issue? or browser? or is it in Mobile or Desktop Device?

We’ve not had others say the same, but it did occur just after we’d run some updates, so just wanted to check.

We’ve implemented the timer now and asked them to report back.

They were adding details for 8 team members so possibly longer than most users, but still well under an hour!
