I have issues with the registration page after hitting the submit button. It doesn’t go the the confirmation page or the payment options page to complete the checkout it goes instead to the event-registration page.

Hello Jadea,
IF this just occurred after updating Event Espresso, then it is likely due to having old template files in wp-content/uploads/espresso.
Please remove them or rename the directory and test again.
Note that any modifications will be removed when the directory is renamed and you will need to port over modifications from the old template files to the new template files.

Hi Dean. I don’t have any templates in that directory. I tried renaming it and it still doesn’t go to the checkout page.

Hi Jadea,
Is your theme from Themeforest? Sometimes theme developers use specific code to change the formatting that WordPress does and this can play havoc with plugins shortcodes.
Can you look in your themes functions.php to see if there is code similar to this
If there is you can either try to remove it or you can try wrapping your [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode on the default event registration page in [raw] tags?
eg [raw][ESPRESSO_EVENTS][/raw]

I’m using the Responsive Theme and looked for the code on the link above and there is none. Even if I changed themes it’s still bypassing the payment page.

The site is in maintenance mode, so we can’t see it. It sounds like you may have a redirection or permalink issue.

OK, a few things to check.
Can you check that the Pages in the Event Espresso General Settings are correct and have the correct shortcodes.
Reset your permalinks (just go to the permalinks page and save)
Create a new page for the Espresso Events shortcode (the main registration page). We have seen it in the past where something (we are still not sure what) stops the page from being seen, but by creating a new page and allocating it in the General Settings it sometimes resolves the issue
