I’ve tried this before, but nobody seems to be able to help me get just the simple functionality of the registration process working. I’m very frustrated and I don’t know where to turn. Yes, I am having awful problems. For close to a month I haven’t been able to get the registration working. It is VERY frustrating. Please see below for a summary of issues: Problems: I have to get it working by January 1, and I’ve spent so much time in the support forums asking questions and searching around. I just can’t get EE working right. My registration page can be found here: Please help me. Thanks, Justin

Hi Justin, I am sorry for all the trouble. I’ll respond to each of your issues below:
Seating charts can be deleted if there are no registrations tied to them
This is a known issue with the current version of Jetpack (2.0.4) You can disable Jetpack and revert to version 2.0.2 of Jetpack. You can download prior versions of Jetpack here:
The seating chart add-on does not have the capability to not require additional info for each selected seat. I’ll note that you’re requesting that a new feature be developed to allow for seat selection with no additional info entered. |

All that is left is the seating chart issues, and making sure that the registration passes dollar amounts to paypal, once the seating charts are redone. Chris is helping me with the seating charts but can you take a look at the .csv’s and let me know why when I try uploading them after inserting the pricing data, they now look all funky? (Only thing showing up is reserved spaces that are really just placeholders) http://gnflea.com/seatingcharts/outdoorwednesday.csv Thanks again Josh. Justin |
Justin, I sent you an email about deleting the seating charts. They can’t be deleted if someone has registered etc. I think it sets some kind of a flag. I can delete them for you from the database, but I just need to know which ones. Do you want them all deleted? |
Seth, Maybe you can send me instructions on how to do it or have someone else do so. I don’t want all the charts deleted. Just the three that are marked Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday Outdoor Charts. I am happy to let you do it, but I would hate to bug you guys every time I need one deleted. Thanks. Justin |
I think there is a bug that if you try to upload seating chart changes into an existing seating chart, it adds the changes as new seats. So the existing seating chart will need to be deleted first. We have a ticket open for both bugs, so we will be working on fixing them soon. |

Seth, I thought of this. I am trying to upload all new seating charts. The only thing showing up are the reserved seats. It worked fine in the original state in which Chris sent it to me, but when I added pricing, they stopped working. Thanks. Justin |
Okay, it looks like you have these seating charts assigned to a some recurring events. Are you planning on keeping these events? |
The original csv for the chart can be found here: |
I do want to keep the events. However, those charts were never attached to the live events, they were attached to old events that have been deleted, along with any attendees. These charts are now attached to no events as far as I can see in the EE interface, as far as in the database, they might be still attached to some phantom events that have been deleted. |
Found the problem. It looks like those charts were attached to quite a few deleted events. Once I purged the deleted events from the trash, I was able to delete the seating charts. |
Thank you Seth. I totally forgot about the trash. I assumed they were gone. I feel like the guy who asks why his computer isn’t working and then checks to see it’s unplugged. Thanks again. Justin |

Any idea what’s wrong with the new seating charts and why they are showing up all weird? |
Not sure. Which one is showing up weird? |
All three csv files listed above. outdoorwednesday.csv |
@Dennis I just tested adding prices to a couple of seats and it worked fine for me. Are you adding the prices in the back end or in the csv (I did this from the back end)? Are you adding $ to the prices? (If so, don’t. It needs to be just the price value without the currency symbol.) |
I did it in the CSV file. I didn’t use any dollar signs, however when I upload to CSV file everything is very funky. please see the 3 files that I created above you can download them and test them for me. Maybe this will allow you to figure out what is going on. thank you. |

I see what the problem is here. With member pricing set to 0, everything comes out to 0 when you are logged in, even as just a subscriber. How do we make subscribers have to pay regular price and not “member price” I’d like to turn off the member pricing option all together in the seating charts. Possible? |
Do you have the members addon installed? Are you going to have member only pricing on other events? |
You can also set prices for members to be the same as non-members for the events where you’ll be using the seating chart. |
Where do you do that? |
You can change event prices in the event editor in the box labeled “Event Pricing”. Non-member pricing is set in the left column under the “Standard Pricing” and Member Pricing is set in the right column. |
It’s possible. Just make the member price the same as the regular price. Also, it’s probably easier not to mess with the CSV files now that they are done and just make your changes in the seating chart that’s already uploaded. |
