Hey guys, we have the address portion on the registration form set to (not required) but when a person tried to continue to next page to pay with paypal or credit card, they are receiving error popup saying that they must enter a state first (even though the full address is not required) and then once the person selects their state, then they are allowed to continue to the billing page. Can you please tell me if this is a bug or new feature? Because it didn’t use to be like that.

I was able to see the issue and that should not happen. I’ve created a report so we can get that fixed.
We’ll update this post once we have more information.

We are also experiencing this issue for people ordering more than 1 ticket. The State question is not required for additional attendees but leaving it blank generates a “State: Input Invalid” error.
This seems to be a recent development as I was just notified of the issue by a customer today. Our event has been live for over a month and people have successfully bought more than one ticket at a time before while leaving this question blank.

The issue reported here was fixed and the fix is included in Event Espresso 4.9.37.p which was released today.
