I have EE 4.9.45 running on a HIPAA compliant server. The server is located on premises at a hospital. Employees at the building can register for events when visiting the website from within the same network where the server is. However, people visiting the website from outside are unable to register for events.
I just get an error saying “This registration step could not be completed. Please refresh the page and try again.” But refreshing the page doesn’t help.
Can anyone think of what would be causing this? I don’t know why the location of the website visitor should make any difference since all the other parts of the website are still accessible regardless of location.
Hi there,
Can you check to see if there are any security plugins or security settings on your website that block the wp-admin/admin-ajax.php file from anyone not on your network? The reason I ask is because your site is returning a 404 not found error when the registration process sends an ajax request: https://www.evernote.com/l/AAR9Fm9f_XBFwKoiBKdMzoZy3c8hQouKmgw
