I feel like I’m in purgatory with this program. I fix one thing another goes wrong. After having my license key reset twice I finally was able to upgrade EE3 this morning. Good job, fellas. But now the registration form is not displaying correctly on my site. Until the update it was displaying fine. The short code I am using is [SINGLEEVENT single_event_id=”havana-santiago-de-cuba-and-oriente-1-55130bbfdac41″]. I tried using the suggested [ESPRESSO_REG_PAGE event_id=ID] only to have the error message appear that the event has expired. What do I need to do to get my registration back to what it was?

Hi Stephen,

I’m sorry for the trouble. We are here to help. Can you let us know in what way the registration form is not displaying correctly on your site? Can you post a link to the page in question? Was anything modified/customized in the earlier copy of Event Espresso that may have been lost in the update?

Thank you for getting back to me. It seems like everytime I do anything in EE3 something goes wrong requiring hours of my time to fix.

The page link is: http://anchellworkshops.com/WordPress/cuba/cuba-registration/

The orignial page was titled “Havana, Santiago de Cuba, and Orienté Province.” Notice the accent over the e. The registration appeared correctly at the bottom of the web page but an error message appeared saying the event was full. The EE forum said to delete the event and reenter it without the accent, which I did. I then used the new shortcode and the page/registration form appeared fine – that was last night.

This morning EE reset my license (for the second time) and I was able to upgrade to the latest version of EE3. When I went to check the page it was as you see.

Hi Stephan,

The issue I’m seeing with your registration page is the shortcode is wrapped in a set <pre> tags. You can fix this by going in to edit this page (not the event) then make sure using the “Text” editor mode. Then you’ll remove the <pre> tags before and after the event shortcode.

You may have accidentally picked up those pre tags from a copy and paste from somewhere.

That fixed it and I take back all the nasty things I said about EE. Life is good again. 🙂
