My organization is looking for a volunteer management system and this plugin seems to meet most of the needs. However, we require volunteers to complete an orientation before signing up to do volunteer work.
Is this system capable of being able to only allow new users to sign up for an orientation, restricting them from signing up for any other (volunteer) events? Once their orientation is completed, can the restriction be lifted so they can sign up for any volunteer events (perhaps their User Role changes?). We would like this process to be as automated as possible.

Hi Stephanie,
Event Espresso 4 is capable of this, but you will need a few extra plugins to handle the orientation and blocking registration of volunteer events. I’d recommend comparing the Gravity Forms User Registration add-on and the similar offering from Ninja Forms to handle the Orientation:

Then there are plugins like this one that make it possible to allow event registration to members only:
