I have set up several events and have them displayed on a page, here:
http://nelsonevents.co.uk/ne2013/event-registration/

When I click on the event title, register or add to cart, nothing happens (except on the first event, which has a ‘free’ price and, if registered, it adds to attendees!

What have I done wrong!!!!!

Hi there,

What is the shortcode on the above linked page? In order for Event Espresso to function correctly, it should be [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] .

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shows all events.

I have inserted [EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id=”public”], which shows all events in the ‘Public’ category. Is this wrong?

I do not want to show all events, just a category!

Hello,

The [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode needs to be on a page by itself. It doesn’t have to be in the navigation menu, though. If you want to use [EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id="public"], you will need to put it on a separate page.

The code I am using [EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id=”public”] is on a page, not a menu option.

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS] is not being used.

There is no other code or copy on the page.

That is probably the problem then. [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] must be by itself on a page that is public and not password protected in order for Event Espresso work.

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS] is on a page called ‘Main Registration Page’ which is there, as per setup instructions.
http://nelsonevents.co.uk/ne2013/main-registration-page/

The page I am using [EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id=”public”] on is separate!
http://nelsonevents.co.uk/ne2013/book-tickets-here/

Neither allow me to select an event and move on!

Hi bins,

I took a look at the pages you linked to and it appears that the book-tickets-here page is set as the main registration page in Event Espresso>General Settings. Can you check that setting and adjust the page setting if that’s the case?

Phew,

that sorthed it out!

I am not sure how that changed, but, I have been fiddling, so it was probably me!

Thanks,

Paul
