Recently had open registration, some students are able to register, others are not. Check on multiple computers in the same office, I was able to register on one, could not on the other. What’s the possible issue? |
That’s weird, Can you share more information? What error did you receive when you’re trying to register? Can you tell us what happen? did the browser freeze? any error message you received and so on. please tell us also your system information thanks |
The class was open on both computers. Seats were available, one computer allowed me to register, the other one did not. Had a lot of callers report the same issue. Error Message: We are sorry but this event is not yet open for registration. The error message was on January 24, at 6:26 PM. The class was open for registration an hour earlier. Same thing happened tonight. Site URL: https://ncdrivingschool.com |

Can you send us link where you having the problem?> I’m looking on it, and it seems There’s no Add to Cart Button and quantity selector on your page? you mention, there are is error message. Can you paste the error message here. Can you also fill this information? thanks |
The plugin is used as a registration system, there is no add button, quantity or shopping cart. Students fill out the registration form then submitt it to register. Any fees are paid in person. The error message is the previous post. |

Hi Bill, Can you please share a direct link to the course/page where exactly you are facing the issue? |
There is no specific link, it happens anytime there is a new class registering. I will notify you today of any registration links. |

Hi there, Sam and Rio are looking for your registration page for any event so they can try to reproduce the issue reported. To give an example: https://ncdrivingschool.com/event-registration/?ee=8502 (Yes, I’m aware that specific event isn’t open until Feb 7th so the ‘error’ on that page is currently expected) —-
The specific message you mentioned here isn’t an error as such, it means the evet isn’t open for registration (Reg start has passed) but the only way I can think of for that to work on one machine and not the other is caching. Were you logged in on one machine by not the other by any chance? |
Hi there, I’ve just reviewed your login form submission and you’ve included details that this started happening since you moved hosts. What type of hosting are you now using? |
Managed WordPress Ultimate |
Most managed WordPress hosting pages have server-side caching force on all pages by default. Which host? |

Yes I am aware. I had the same thought when it was emailed to me.
No I wasn’t logged into the machine or website. The class would be open for registration, but some reported that the registration page displayed the same message that is shown when the class is closed. I have attached an image of what an qpen registration looks like |
The first 2 event links you shared have both worked as expected, opened registrations on time and displayed the registration form at the expected time. I’ve tested with both PC and Mobile, using Wifi and Cellular to confirm and neither has had any issue viewing the registration form. |

We can do a remote call and I can show you what is happing. |

This can only be caching, there is really no other explanation for it. EE itself doesn’t care what computer your using, it processes the request the same way regardless, there’s nothing on the request itself you (or any other user) could be setting to force EE to process that request differently and cause the above so it must be getting a cached response fro Cloudflare. Which browser are you using? On an event this is happening on, open up Dev Tools and view the network tab. (You may need to refresh he page to populate the details) Find the request for Add a screenshot of the Response headers here please. (I’ll add an example using FireFox in a private reply now) |
