We are in the testing phase right now and it seems that registrants confirmations are all going to a my gmail account instead of users actual emails. How can I solve this ?

Hi Phil,

Have you modified any of the message templates?

Event Espresso sends confirmation emails to both the Event Admin (the event author) and the Registrant, so are both of those message going to you gmail account?

Is there a test event I can run a registration on to view this?

I am receiving Registration Notification as an author, users aren’t receiving anything. How can I send you my log in info ?

Hello,

Are you using the same email address that is set for the event author / event admin as a registrant?

Could you provide a link to an event and also have you made any changes to the messages templates through Event Espresso –> Messages?

I’m using multiple emails with the same result.

I changed the ticket and the confirmation layout a little.

Hi Phil,

I’ve just placed a registration onto that event you link and received the registration and ticket notice email without any problems – http://take.ms/EzxZx

Are you registering onto the event using the same email address as the event author?

Hi Tony,

I’m still experiencing issues with receiving tickets at a specific domain name mainly surreyplace.on.ca can you explain in detail how the email delivery system works within event espresso?

I’ve checked my firewall / spam filter and I can’t find where the email get’s stuck.

Event Espresso doesn’t actually send emails itself, it processes the data, builds out the email content and then sends it over to wp_mail() so there isn’t much info we can provide.

wp_mail() is a core WordPress function that basically checks over the formatting and that the email is structured correctly and it then passes it over to your server to send the email. So by default the reliability of the emails depends on your server setup and your hosts mail server.

With sporadic email issues we recommend using a a transactions email service to send your emails through their servers instead, we have a few examples listed here:
