Registration issues

Hi all,

hoping you can help. people are managing to register on the courses without paying which is causing issues. Also no notifications are being sent that people have registered despite the option being ticked.

the payment gateway I am using is Worldpay if that makes a difference?

Hi,

I couldnt see how the users are registering for free, do you know the process they are using?

Are they appearring in the attendee overview page? If so what is their status?

Regarding the emails. Is “Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?” in General settings set to yes?

If it is and emails are still not going out you may wish to try a plugin suchs as WP SMTP Mail or a service such as Mandrill or Postmarkapp. Often emails not going out is server related and that plugins/services have been proven to help with this.

Thanks Dean,

The email issue was just as you said, not sure how i missed that!

The other issue is that they can register which takes a place before making payment. It seems to me that EE and worldpay are not speaking to each other or something???

This is really doing my head in!

any help would be great.

Is your IPN listener/Notify URL page published on your website? Are there any security plugins installed that might be blocking communication from WorldPay?

Ok,

Well slowly but surely we are getting there. We have managed to make sure Worldpay and EE are speaking to each other so it is recognizing when payments are going through.

However EE is still letting people register before making payment which is causing no end of problems my end! What would it cost for you guys to log in and sort it out as it’s driving me mad!

Hi John,

This is a feature of Event Espresso, it always takes the registration info before it takes payment. However, by default it does not mark the registration as complete until the payment is made. You can ensure that the unpaid registrations get marked as incomplete by going into Event Espresso>General settings and setting the Default payment status to “incomplete”.

Incomplete registrations can be managed in the Attendee reports by going into Event Espresso>Event overview and clicking All Attendees. On this screen you can select “incomplete” followed by “Filter Status” to show only the incomplete registrations.

These can be manually updated if they have since paid, a payment reminder can be sent out, or they can be deleted.
