Registration Issue On Mobile

My customers can’t purchase through mobile because of events mix up on mobile. when they click on their link for event, after they select number of tickets it takes them to another event. this is on mobile not desktop. its after they choose number of tickets it takes them to another event. I don’t have any caching plugin activated either.

We are now experience this issue on the desktop also. When my customers choose QTY and click on “Register Now” button it takes them to a list of Upcoming events. They are not able to register or pay. Please help.

Hi Delilah,

I looked into this as part of your support token.

The problem was the /event-registration/ page had been set to Private and another page created with the wrong shortcode but a similar page slug /event-registration-2/ (which is listing events)

This means that for logged out users (which is likely why you did not see this on desktop previously) EE would try to redirect them to /event-registration/ but because it was private it failed, WordPress (being helpful) then picked up that the user could not see the page requested and tried to find the page they were looking for. As you have /event-registration-2/ that’s were they went.

So I set the original page back to published (not private) and the events now work as expected when selecting tickets.

Can I ask what the event-registration-2 page is being used for?

I removed the event-registration-2 page and it worked. thank you

Hi Lorenzo. Yes Thank you so much. Our customers are able to register with no problem. Now our issue is that our calendar events, only on desktop look collapsed and thus the featured images are not showing. However they are showing on mobile devices. Please bear with us on these issues as we went from EE3 to EE4.8 and had no idea the many changes that would take place.

Hi there,

Can you go to your theme’s options and remove the following:

#espresso_calendar .fc-event {min-height: 3em;max-height: 3em;}

The above CSS rule that was added to your theme’s options is causing the collapsed look and no featured images.

Alternatively, you can make wrap the min-height and max-height rule in a CSS media query so it only affects small screens.
