Hi,

I got the plugin working on most browser, except Internet Explorer.
After I filled out all the form information and submit it gives me error:
First name is a required value, even though I have filled out everything.

And this error only happens on Internet Explorer only.
This is a sample on my site:

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Hi William,

This might be an issue related to using the Avada theme. Have you checked to see if the error occurs when the site is temporarily switched to use a default WordPress theme like twenty sixteen?

You can use thetheme test drive plugin to test another theme without actually switching the site’s theme.

It will also help to know which version of IE you were testing.

Hello,

Thanks for replying in short notice. I have tested with different themes and the form on IE is working.

So what is the fix to work with Avada theme ?

Hi William,

You can contact the folks from Avada support to see if they have a fix for the Avada theme. They’ll need to know which version of Internet Explorer that you’re using so they can verify whether Avada supports that version.

I am using IE 11.
Is that the HTML/CSS or Javascript conflict between Espresso Event Plugin and Avada theme? Or it is simply Avada Theme issues ?

What’s likely happening is the Avada theme has some JavaScript that throws an error in IE11, which will break all other JavaScript running on the page after it.

Thank for the support.

Since I am third party and don’t have right to get support from Avada, would you know any quick way to address this?
Thanks,

A possible way to address this would be to find the offending script from Avada and if it’s not needed for the registration checkout page, you deregister that script for that page only. e.g. the script might only be needed for the home page, and it’s loading on every page of the site and it’s throwing errors on those pages.

Other options are: Use a theme that doesn’t break on Internet Exploer, or get a support license for Avada.
