Registration issue

When someone clicks on a class to register and they leave the site without paying, the person still gets an email saying they registered. How can you stop the emails from sending until after they pay? My customer deals with this issue every day. We know in the backend it shows red, but people are not bright and they think they are registered because they receive the email.

Hi Dorian,

If you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings. Email Settings.

You’ll find the option ‘Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?’, set that to No & update the settings.

Users should then only receive a confirmation email after payment is complete.

Yea, I already had that set to no, but it still does it. I just tested it.

That is strange. Does the email you are receiving have something like

<---------------------------------------------->
*Event Name* registration confirmation
<---------------------------------------------->

At the top of the email? If so that is the Admin email.

I have ran a test registration one of your events stopping at the Payment Screen and have not received any emails.
