Registration From Not Confirming or allowing payment

Registration form is allowing you to enter in your name email etc but on the next page doesn’t show the price that is listed in the event and will not go to the next page after you register to confirm it was successfull.   Doesn’t show how to pay in steps ither.

Hi Sara,

The errors you are seeing indicate that there are out of date template files (from a prior version of Event Espresso) in the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/ directory.

If you have modified templates in there, they need to be updated to use the new template files included with the current version of the plugin.

If you haven’t made any modifications to the files in the /uploads/espresso/templates they can be removed. If you are not sure if there were modifications made to these files, you can back these up or rename that folder just in case.

You can automatically rename the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates folder by going to Event Espresso>Template Settings and clicking the “Rename templates directory” button near the bottom of the page.

Josh,

Thank you for the prompt response.  I am not sure if modification were made or not.  All I know is that I added these events and the registration form isn’t working correctly.  How would I update them to use the new template files?  I have taken over for someone else and have been tasked with this but not very knowledgeable and do not want to make a big mistake so in advance Thank YOU a Ton!

Hi Sara,

You will not delete anything if you use the “Rename templates directory” button. That will automatically make it so you’re using the new templates.

As an aside, since you’re taking things over for the site, it would be best to transfer the site’s support license to your account, or get access to the account that the site’s support license is tied to. This way you’ll have access to all the documentation and support forums on the Event Espresso website.

Hi Josh!
 
So I used the Rename Templates Directory Button.  But now it is asking for me to log in.  Which before it just took me to the registration form.  I fear I am missing something.  As for the support license transfer how do I do that I thought getting to you was the available support for me?

Hi Sera,

It looks like all your events are set to be member only events. This can be changed in the Event Espresso>Member settings. Look for “Require login for all events?” and you can set it to no.

To be honest, this support request should not be in the translation forums, but I’m trying to help you out with this one as best as I can. In the future, any support requests for general registration form issues should be started in the Event Espresso premium forums:
