Registration Form – Data Validation

Is it possible to add some data validation to the registration form?

For the puppy training classes, we require puppies to be under 20 weeks of age at the time of the class starting (so would need to validate the input against the first date-time of the event).

At the moment, we manually reject these after registration… but it would be good for the form to do this auto-magically.

Hi there,

We do have plans to eventually add some form of ‘conditional logic’ into EE’s registrations forms but currently, this is not available.

So as it stands you would need custom development to do what you need. You could use some jQuery to validate whichever input you are using and (for example) disable the submit button if the age wasn’t valid.

However, to do the above you’ll need the help of a developer who can write something custom for your use case, if you are not currently working with one we recommend the folks at codeable.
