Hello,

we seems to have a problem when people trying to register on our site: http://retailsupplychain.asia/events/register/

Each time we enter our first, last name and email address, we get the same error message:

An error has occurred
First Name is a required value
EE_SPCO_Reg_Step_Attendee_Information – _verify_critical_attendee_details_are_set_and_validate_email – 873

We use Version 4.6.31.p on our site…

Can you let us know what is the problem?

Hi,

It looks like our localized script ee_form_section_vars is not being output on your page, causing a javascript error.

My best guess is that this has something to do with the fact that your sites JavaScript files have been minified and combined.

Please can you, temporarily, disable the minification/combining of these files and clear your cache and see if the issue resolves itself.

You could also try removing form_section_validation.js from the minified list though other files it relies on may also need to be removed.

You could also try to re-arrange where that file is in the load order.

I disabled and removed the minify plugin, but the same problem and same error shows:

An error has occurred:
First Name is a required value.
EE_SPCO_Reg_Step_Attendee_Information – _verify_critical_attendee_details_are_set_and_validate_email – 873

We get the error both on Chrome and Firefox.

Can you try it on your side again?

Hi,

It worked for me (you now have an attendee called Test).

I would suggest clearing your browser cache or testing in Incognito mode (Chrome) or in another browser.

So, it is definitely down to the minification/combining. You can still do the minification/combining, but you will need to run tests on the order they are loading in, and it may be necessary to remove the form_section_validation.js file from the process completely.

You’re welcome!

Anything else I can help with regarding this topic or may I mark this as resolved?
