Often we have 1 person purchase 2 separate classes, and checkout with 1 Paypal payment transaction. I have never had an issue in past.
Today I can see that a purchaser of 2 different classes came in from 1 paypal transaction.

I can see the other class registrations under OTHER REGISTRATION IN THIS TRANSACTION Section. and it is correct

Under REGISTATION DETAILS all I see is “the registrations’ share of the transaction total is approximate because it might not be possible to evenly divide the transaction total among each registration, and so some registrations may need to pay a penny more than others. This registration’s final share is actually $75.00 (USD).” There is NO class information, which I normally would see.

I have never seen this., and when I went to change from “pending” to”approved”, it NOW tells me both are overpaid.

Hi there,

This sounds like a caching issue, I know from your other thread that your site has caching enabled and that ‘something’ changed on the server side roughly a month ago which could very likely be related to this.

I still have your login credentials (as your other thread is open) so can look at this.

Which transaction is this for?

I don’t think this is an issue specifically related to purchasing tickets across 2 events but rather the conditions were just right for a conflict, caching refreshed mid-way through the registration process for example which means line items that existed then didn’t etc.

Caching can cause some weird and wonderful issues with e-commerce because each request must be specific to the user it is for, that’s exactly the opposite of what caching does to reduce the load (it reuses data from previous requests so it doesn’t need to ‘build’ it out again).

I don’t think you’ll be able to ‘fix’ that transaction as the line items are missing, meaning it’s a transaction with no items to pay for, which now has a payment assigned to it.

I would recommend recreating the registrations and then cancelling the current ‘broken’ ones to fix this. So basically log in and add tickets to the cart as if you are the user, copy all of the answers they users from the current registration into the new ones and then set the registration status of the originals to cancelled. You can then apply the payment to the ‘new’ transaction which should show all of the correct details.

Make sense?
