Hi, I am putting evenespresso to test on one website for now. I got the trial free version. Now, when I fill the form and click submit I do not get any text messages telling me that I am registered. Moreover, I do not get an email as a registered guest nor as an admin that registration is confirmed. However, event dashboard shows guest names and emails. I have set everything on YES on template setting but still no results. help please!

Hi,

Event Espresso uses the wp_mail() function to send mail. Meaning if your WordPress install can not send mail neither can Event Espresso.

I would start by checking your install can send mail using a plugin such as wp check email

WP is sending emails fine. I noticed that the text boxes where i can add info are not clickable meaning I can not add any text in those empty boxes neither. I am using WP 3.8.

Help please?

Regards,

Z

Hi,

I noticed that the text boxes where i can add info are not clickable meaning I can not add any text in those empty boxes neither.

May I ask where these text boxes are located please?

Have you correctly filled in the information within Event Espresso -> General Settings. Organisation Settings?

yes, in the general settings, I have entered all the required info. On this page under email setting everything is set to “yes”. the two text boxes under “Payment Confirmation Email”and “Default Registration Confirmation Email” are empty and I cannot write in them.

Hi,

It sounds like you have a plugin (maybe your theme) that is modifying the editor boxes. In EE3 this can make the EE3 editor boxes not work correctly.

Josh created a plugin that could possibly assist with this by disabling none default buttons on EE related editors.

You can download it from here: https://github.com/joshfeck/remove-extra-editor-buttons (bottom right of screen, click Download ZIP).

It sounds like this plugin will enable editing only. My main problem is that EE not sending out email confirmations to registrants. I know that I only uploaded EE and not the calendar zip file. Did I need to install Calendar with EE to have it work properly?
please test my event: http://irvinetustindentalimplants.com/upcoming-seminars/

Hi,

The calendar add on is not a requirement for EE to function.

I signed up to one of your events and received the registration email. Have you checked that the email you used was valid and whether the emails were in your spam folder? (both for the registrant and admin).
