Registration Confirmation Fail

We are suddenly having some significant issues with registration confirmation. When a user presses “confirm registration”, the information no longer appears to pass and, instead, the information fields are blank and the user is unable to move forward with the transaction. I’m not aware of any site changes that would occur to cause this.

You can demo the problem here:

Thank you for your attention to this.

Hi Maggie,

There are at least two issues going on here, with a possible third issue. Here’s what you can do to fix them:

1) Please remove any old templates from /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates. There is a button in the Event Espresso>Template Settings that will automatically rename this directory so that the new templates in the Event Espresso plugin will not get overridden.

2) The theme has some code that is adding line breaks between the form’s hidden inputs, you may be able to fix this by wrapping the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode with the [raw] short tag?

It will look like this:
[raw][ESPRESSO_EVENTS][/raw]

3) Please check all the Event Espresso add-ons against the version numbers of the add-ons available on your account page and verify that all the add-ons are up to date.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for your reply.

No luck with the [raw][/raw] implementation.

The uploads->templates file looks up to date based on a fresh download I pulled from eventespresso.com today. This is what I get for files:

widget.php
shopping_cart.php
return_payment.php
registration_page.php
registration_page_display.php
pending_approval.php
payment_page.php
payment_overview.php
multi_registration_page.php
multi_registration_page_display.php
index.php
event_post.php
event_list.php
event_list_display.php
event_espresso_style.css
/css
confirmation_display.php
attendee_list.php
alt_reg_page_display.php

Lastly, I deactivated many of the addons (which we don’t really use anyways). The only addon that doesn’t look like it has an update is Event Espresso – SSL/HTTPS Version 1.0.

Any other advice? Thanks you,

Josh

Hi Maggie,

There shouldn’t be any templates in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates. None. Can you try renaming that directory or removing those files from that location?

The Raw tag should help in this case. When you add the raw short tag, does it appear on the registration page? If you don’t see it, it will help eliminate the line breaks.
