I have the personal license and am running Version 4.2.4.reg and I have my attendee registrations set up so someone can register up to 15 people at one time. Each attendee is required to have an email address entered into the form. My question is: Is there a way to send an email to all attendees once the registration process has been completed (my actual preference)? If so, does it have to be automatic or can you send them manually within the system? What if I want to send an email to just the person registering, but they aren’t an attendee? How is that handled by Event Espresso? Thank you for your time!!! Also, who will get any subsequent emails – payment, etc., |
Hi Sue, Currently the first users details input into the registration form (at the top) is considered the ‘primary registrant’ those details are used for the payment emails and they are considered the user that manages the others. Currently we do not have an option for a user to input details to be used as a ‘purchaser’ or the ‘billing user’ without attending the event, this needs to be the primary registrant. As for sending the emails, is this when registration is complete? As in the payment has been made an you want each attende to receive their own email, but all payment related emails to a single user? (note in terms of EE this is the primary registrant) We’ve made multiple changes to the messages system since 4.2.4.reg to improve on how they work. Is there a reason you have not updated to the latest version? |

In regards to your comment: As for sending the emails, is this when registration is complete? As in the payment has been made an you want each attende to receive their own email, but all payment related emails to a single user? Yes, this would be after registration is completed that I would like each attendee to receive their own email. I am only running WordPress 3.9.3 and our registration opens June 1 – Just afraid to update everything and end up causing issues. Although, evidently things have been updating themselves to a certain point as I’m positive I was running EE3 last year. Currently, when I go to “updates” I see this (You have version 4.2.4.reg installed. Update to 4.6.23.p. View version 4.6.23.p details. |
Hi Sue, this one is tricky. We develop and test on Nginx or Apache servers so we do not support Windows or Azure at this time. One other thing is that the current version of Event Espresso 4 requires a current version of WordPress (at least 4.x). It won’t work with 3.9.3. In the latest release a registration approved message is sent out once a payment is made. For example, if I made a payment for a registration via PayPal.com, then I would receive a notification with my registration details afterwards. — |
