Registration confirmation e-mails not sending

This is actually the third time I’ve posted about this in the forums. Currently, when a member signs up for an event, they do not receive an e-mail confirmation. I’ve checked Email Settings under General Settings, and both Payment confirmation and Registration confirmation e-mails are marked as Yes to send. In any given event, I’ve marked for custom e-mails to send, and I have created those custom e-mails in the E-mail Manager. Is there a reason these e-mails are not sending?

As well, I do not receive notification via e-mail when someone registers for an event. It seems the e-mail functions in EE are not working for me at all. Do you have any advice?

Hi there,

There may be an issue with the mail server. The emails may be getting marked as spam (a common issue with shared servers), or the ISP is blocking them.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps that will help narrow down the problem:
1) Try creating a free event, then do a test sign up. If no mail sends in this case, then it’s likely a mail server issue. If mail sends for the free event, then we can troubleshoot the paid event emails not sending.

2) You can try bypassing the mail server by using an SMTP mail account -or- Postmark (highly recommended).
A gmail account will work for the SMTP method, and this plugin can be used to configure sending the mail through the gmail account: WP Mail SMTP plugin

Hi Josh,
Thank you so much for your help! I used the WP Mail SMTP plugin, configured for Gmail, and now the e-mails are sending! I can’t tell you what a relief this is for me and my school.
