Per the above thread, I modeled exactly what was suggested. I added a menu button to my website with the link ‘/registration-checkout/?event_cart=view#__checkout/’. While that link appears to stick with the menu button, when I click on the link in the live website, it changes the link to ‘/registration-checkout/?event_cart=view/#__checkout/’ (as in it puts a “/” after view.
Any idea why this might be happening, and how I can prevent it?
Thank you for the reply. I changed my menu link to what you provided above, and the same thing happened – it added the “/” between the “view” and the “#”.
I believe I am using the relative link as a custom link. I take it that this won’t work? Is there a way around this? I would love to have a menu link to “my shopping cart”.
Although I doubt it will work if the above didn’t.
You using the latest version of Event Espresso?
It could be either your theme or another plugin filtering the links:
1) A theme conflict. You can rule this out by temporarily switching to the default WordPress theme, then testing saving/using the link again. The theme test drive plugin allows for testing another theme without actually changing your site’s theme.
2) A plugin conflict. You can rule this out by temporarily deactivating any other installed WordPress plugins and save/testing the link again. Then you reactivate them one by one, testing saving the link error condition between each reactivation until it happens again to find the plugin that causes it.
Personally I would start with the theme.
