After updating EE4, I can’t register for any event. The calendar icon/button, as well as the registration button is now missing.
I can only assume there is now some conflict with EE4 and the theme that I am using.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Michael,
This may be from the way that the theme handles the_excerpt. If you add an excerpt to one of the events, does that have any effect?

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but I don’t know what you mean by adding an excerpt to one of the events.
If you can give me the details of what I need to add/modify, I will certainly give it a try and see if that changes the results.

OK….please disregard my previous message. I found the Excerpt box 🙂
Yes, by adding text into the box the Register Now button appears when you click on an event.
Is this the recommended solution moving forward, or is this just a band-aid? Please let me know.

Hey Michael,
I think it depends on the theme you have installed. If your WordPress theme requires data in the the_excerpt post field when in outputs your pages, then yes, this is probably going to be a permanent solution, as long as you are using that particular WordPress theme.
Does that make sense?
