We have an event where the Registration Approved email does not always get added to the email queue for both admin and registrant resulting in it never being sent. This is seemingly random as other registrations for the same event do get the email added to the queue and sent fine.
If I go in to the transaction I can resend the email and it gets added to the queue and sent without issue.
One user I can confirm attended an event earlier in the year, and the email was queued and sent fine then.
I can advise to switch to the PayPal Express gateway. The PayPal Standard gateway is deprecated. You can use your same PayPal account with PayPal Express by following this guide:
The fact that PayPal Standard doesn’t reliably deliver the IPN (Instant Payment Notification) in time to tell Event Espresso to trigger that Registration Approved message. Sometimes it’s too late or never.
