After tickets are purchased they are moved into pending but after payment is made using the PayFast payment gateway, the tickets do not move to approved or even log the payment from PayFast.
The Reg Status remains as “Pending Payment”, the Transaction Status is “Incomplete” and in the Payment Overview, even though the Payment Type is “PayFast”, the Status is still “Pending”, when the payment has been made and confirmation has been received by PayFast itself.
Do you know the reason for this happening? Is there a setting that we have missed or a disconnect that is happening between the website and your plugin?
Event Espresso set up a Single Page CheckOut process (SPCO for short) and loads ‘Payment Methods’ which then handles all of the processing for the payment itself. The payment methods generate a payment object, sends a request to the payment gateway providers (in this case PayFast), processes the response and then returns a payment object which has been approved/denied etc.
The checkout process then uses that payment object to determine what to do from there.

It sounds like the payment method isn’t processing the payment so there is nothing for SPCO to do.

As the majority of the processing your are running into is run by the Payment Method itself it sounds like an issue with that payment method. PayFast isn’t a payment method we created, they created it themselves:
