I cannot register attendees over the web page registration, but I can, if I add them manually from the dashboard
Thanks

Lou,

Can you share the link to the site so we can take a look?
What version of EE are you on?

Hello Lou,

Thanks for the information. This could be caused by several things. First off, you are on a very outdated version of Event Espresso. We are currently on 3.1.27.1.

Can you verify that the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode is entered on the main registration page and that this page is published and not password protected. It does not have to be in the menu, however.

Another thing is to switch to the default Twenty Eleven theme to see if it is a theme conflict.

Also, try to rule out any plugin conflicts. Deactivate all non-Event Espresso plugins, then test to see if the problem is still occurring. If it isn’t then we know it is a plugin conflict. To find out which one, activate each plugin individually testing for the issue after each activation. If the issue occurs after activating a plugin, this plugin is the culprit.

Hi I will try all the above, but it was functioning until last week with the current template and existing plug ins.

The shortcode is [SINGLEEVENT single_event_id=”rhs2013-italy1-506993c006548″] (again was working till last week).

Lou,

Has anything changed since last week? Have you installed any new plugins? Have you changed your theme?

Thanks. I am looking into it now. I will let you know what I find as soon as possible.

Hey Lou,

I found the problem. In order for Event Espresso to function properly, the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode is required to be on a page that is published and not password protected. You didn’t have a page that had that shortcode. I added it to the Registration page. You do not have to include it in the navigation menu if you don’t want to. So, if you wanted the [SINGLEEVENT single_event_id="rhs-registration-italy-1-5097f5d47ae4d"] shortcode (which you have in the Event Registration page) to be your main registration page, you would just need to add it to your navigation menu.

Let us know if you have any further question. πŸ™‚

Jonathan,
I should’ve use the forum before trying by myself to fix this issue. You were just so accurate in your answer. Thank you so much for your quick reply to this issue.
The form works great now.
Have a great day.

Lou

Jonathan,
I have a couple question. How can I customize the email that the admin receives when somebody register and also how can the people that register can receive the same email that the admin get (with all the event info on it) as of right now they get an email with just some info on in but not the custom questions.
Thanks,
Lou

Hi Lou,

Will you please start a new topic in the forum for your question? We like to keep them separate so others can benefit.

Thanks! πŸ™‚
