Registrant fully paid but registration not approved

We have had this happen a few times recently. Someone has registered for a course and paid through paypal but the registration still stays pending payment. The payment has come through onto EE, you can see the transaction in the history. This is a major issue for us as it means courses can be over-booked.

Hi,

May I ask is the payment method PayPal Standard, PayPal Express, PayPal Pro, or one of the other PayPal options?

The payment has come through onto EE, you can see the transaction in the history.

Can you provide more details on this, please?

Transactions are created as soon as the registration(s) are so you will always have a transaction showing within EE, however, do you mean the payment from PayPal Express is shown within that EE Transaction?

If so what status does the payment have?

For example, this transaction shows a single PayPal Express payment that has been accepted – http://take.ms/Zl4Ed

Hi Tony,
It looks exactly the same as the image you have attached,it says it was accepted through PayPal and transaction status is complete

Ok, so the payment has been confirmed and updated the transaction but that hasn’t updated the registration status.

If you check the servers error logs around the time of payment does it show any errors from EE?
