registering for event on a tablet/smartphone

We are getting some complaints from people about this. Not getting any real detail from them however. I expect some is user error!

However, it this something other people have reported, and what is likely source?

Is it an EE3 thing, or WP, or the tablet/phone OS?

Is there anything you can suggest we look at?

Hi Angus,

Your registrants/attendees can register for events through Event Espresso 3.

Could you try following up with some recent registrants for more feedback?

For example, did they see any errors on the screen?

OK, so there should be no problem with tablets or smartphones.

Just reinforces my belief of user error!

Could the ISP be an issue?

Possibly, its hard to say.

If the users is mobile when registering and their IP address changes rapidly it could cause problems.

If you register with a mobile device do you run into any problems?

Do you have any plugins that specific target mobile devices?

I’m not daft enough to use a mobile to register! Give me a keyboard any day!

Colleagues have and apparently it’s fine.

Only mobile specific thing is the responsive element in the Parabola theme

I can’t see it being that tbh.

The next time it comes up, if you could ask for either the specific error they see or possibly a screenshot we can investigate this further. I’ve tested mobile devices on a couple of test sites and didn’t run into any problems so we need to try an narrow it down a little if it continues to happen for yourself.
