Hi there,
I am trying to create recurring events with different venue locations. However, I can only choose one venue per recurring event group. What would be the best way to create these events that share the same title, but have different dates and locations? I have one category for these events. Should I make subcategories that are the city or state they are in to list them in a page with shortcode by city, state? Ideally EE would allow different venues for this group of events. Your help is appreciated.

Hi Carlene,
Currently there are two ways to do this.
1) Group the recurring events by venue, so you will create X number of events with Venue 1, Y number with venue 2, etc.
2) Create the recurring events and manually edit the events that require a different venue. so long as the Recurring option is set to “Only this event” http://d.pr/i/EQiW it will just update the details for that event.
As to listing the events, yes it may be wise to set a different category for each venue area and list them using [EVENT_LIST]
Alternatively you can use the [ESPRESSO_VENUE_EVENTS id=1] where the ID is the venue ID – https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#venue. This will list all the events with that particular venue.
